Packaging employees donate over $60,000 to Rockford area charities
12-21-2009

Rockford, IL (December 21, 2009) - Anderson Packaging is pleased to announce
the completion of its third annual Project E.L.L.F. charitable giving campaign.
The program, "Project E.L.L.F.: Enriching the Lives of the Less Fortunate," is
a holiday themed voluntary charity donation effort for company workers. The
effort is organized and administered by individual Anderson Packaging
employees. Over a three-week period, from December 1st to December 17th,
workers submitted donations to nominate teams in a companywide competition.
Teams raising the most money will greet workers at the plant entrances on
December 22nd in holiday themed costumes at each of the company's three shifts
and multiple facilities.
"This is our third year
of the Project E.L.L.F. campaign, and we set a rather ambitious goal of raising
$25,000 in employee contributions," states Rosalyn Wesley, Vice President of
Human Resources. "Given the state of the economy we knew it would take
everyone's best efforts. Once again we were amazed how generous people can be.
Each year we have held the event we greatly exceeded our lofty goals. Anderson
employees really look forward to helping out the Rockford community. That
spirit combined with the holidays brought out some real creativity when it came
to fundraising. It really is a great story."
The Project E.L.L.F.
campaign concluded with employee contributions exceeding $30,000. Once again,
Anderson Packaging will match the employee contributions 100%, bringing the
total funds generated to over $60,000. Individual $15,000 donations will be
made to the Rockford Rescue Mission, Carpenter's Place, Remedies (formerly
known as P.H.A.S.E./W.A.V.E.), and Patriots' Gateway Center. In addition, a
donation will be made to Court Street Methodist Church for their annual
Thanksgiving dinner.
